Kiva Rochester

Rochester is a City Built by Entrepreneurs.

Many people of Rochester who dream of starting their own businesses face major barriers to accessing capital. They are among the vast number of financially excluded individuals in the U.S. who are then unable to launch or grow their ideas. Rochester needs the financial and emotional buy-in from local investors to ensure our community stays progressive and continues to thrive.

Supporting Rochester's Food and Coffee Scenes

Rochester is quickly becoming a haven for foodies, thinkers, and makers — below are some examples of the innovators we have supported.

Tony and Renee | Fuego Coffee Roasters

Located in downtown Rochester, Fuego Coffee Roasters is focused on roasting and brewing fresh artisanal coffees from regions all over the world.

Joy | The Coffee Connection

The Coffee Connection and Project Empower is a nonprofit business empowering women on their journey to a sustainable recovery from addiction. They provide employment training and job creation, hiring women in the program to staff the entire business and organization. Interns and employees are all women with a history of addiction and often of being in jail or prison.

Asad | A Taste of Supreme Bakery

A staple at the Rochester Public Market, A Taste of Supreme Bakery specializes in all-natural "wholesome and delicious" pastries. Its trademark product, Bean Supreme Custard Pie, speaks the company's value proposition: "Its got to be healthy, its got be wholesome, its got to be delicious!"
