Kiva York
The City of York is full of opportunity and entrepreneurship.
Yet for many of our local entrepreneurs, those opportunities can often be out of reach. Why? Because, the dream of owning a successful business if often deferred by the reality of what it takes to invest financially into that dream. With more than 40 percent of York's population being minority and 24 percent of the population living beneath the poverty line, Kiva York aims to focus on increasing opportunities for woman and minority owned businesses, as well as business owners who live on a moderate to low income. This is momentous for York, as these groups have been historically undeserved. Increasing avenues for access to capital will also strengthen economic equity in and surrounding York City.
